This artwork consists of three sus- pended acrylic paintings. At first, it seems a girl wear cute clothes to stand on stage as star. But at a closer look, the base layer depicts tattoos, scratch- es, and wrist cuts that don’t fit the pic- ture that people expect of an innocent girl. We can see each other only from the outer layer. Although in fact, the essence of her personality lays filter- end in the hidden layers.

More and more girls are ignoring their essence because they want to be consumed as an icon by society.
